The old girl next door to me is in her 80's, and everytime she see's me complains that the generator i put into the house since i bought it is giving her sleepless nights, and the constant arguing that my missus and i are also keeping her up, She also said my missus keeps playing a tape of us rowing and her shouting till 3am most mornings for the last 6 months! even this morning she said she nearly came round at 8am to see if my my missus was ok because of the rowing we were doing!!

But there is one problem, i don't own a generator, nor in the 2 and a half years Sam and i have been together have we had a arguement and this morning Sam left for work at 7 and i didnt get up till 9.45!

oh one other thing, she is nearly deaf! I don't know what to do, and summat needs to be done because its everytime i leave the house!

    Help!

    Cheers Ady

Just tell her that you don't live there anymore and she'll

have to speak to the new people. That should keep her busy for a while.

Or it could be that or she fancies you, so get in there.

    Haven't you just moved there?

Do you think she's confusing you with the previous occupants?

Does she have any Family or visitors that you could mention your concerns to?

    If that's a serious question .......

....... ring Social Services Mental Health Department at Kendray Hospital 777814 and report it cos it sounds like a Dementia problem and she might need some professional help.

If it isn't a serious question ........ tell her to fook off and mind her own business!!

    Yeh Kev

And the previous tenants got raided a few times, and yeh now you say that they were constant rowing cos i knew them, the owner of the house decided to sell up so i bought it cheap.

But now its starting to become a joke with the old girl next door, and no matter how i try to tell her she is hearing things and its not me or Sam!

    Suggest you either

try and have a word with her Family or do as Albatross has suggested. It doesn't sound as if there is any point trying to discuss the matter with the lady.

I think you should ring them ........

...... and they will come to see her.

Joking apart, I've got a similar situation in my family and it's a serious matter, particularly if she hasn't got relatives to help her out, she could be at risk living on her own without any support

When I worked at the council...

There were a few regulars who'd call in complaining about their neighbours - even though the adjacent flat / house was empty!!! It made you chuckle at first until you actually thought about it - quite sad really. Albatross is right - social services...

Give her a good seeing to Ady.

    Doesn't surprise me.

Would have thought they could have given you some ideas as to what to do or who to contact though.

    That's ****** ........

...... who gives them 'permission to talk to her' then if she has no family or her family are not in contact with her?

They will have to get involved when she's wandering round the village in her undies in the middle of the afternoon telling folks she's Queen Elizabeth. I find that a very strange response by the Mental Health team.

    Albatros

Some of the staff down there are fantastic, other are just going through the motions and can be extremely patronising. One in Particular will say anything just to get fob you off.

I agree with you mate, some of the staff .....

.... are excellent, some are not and just think it's 'funny' which is a disgrace given their job and the 'illness' that they are dealing with, but it's a difficult one this because TaxiRed is not family (just an 'harrassed' neighbour!) but I still think the M/H team should at least visit the old girl and see how she is based on his phone call and the symptoms she is displaying.

Like I said, if she has no family or friends then it will never get properly 'referred' to them but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be involved.

    I agree

and for what its worth I think TaxiRed should call them again and see if he can talk to someone with alittle bit more compasion/understanding.

I know this might sound bad, but

have you thought about calling the police and making a complaint about her? It sounds as tho' she has a problem such as Alzheimers. The police would be able to trace any family that she may have and then maybe they could take control of the situation?
