USA drone strike has took him out.
Good in one respect but many others waiting to take his place and all will want revenge.

Look at it this way, the others waiting to take his place were already there, so it's not like it made the situation worse. And it's Al Qaeda, I don't think those people were happy bunnies anyway, so I'd just go with the "Good".

Taliban not happy about it. Seems the two groups are back on the same page.

For example: If it was down to me there'd be a crater where the middle east used to be. That seems a quite common one. Not on here but I've heard it in numerous places.

I'd be a little scared for revenge at the moment.

I won't be shedding any tears over his death but it isn't necessary true that it will not make the situation worse.

Launching drone attacks on foreign soil (ones which killed innocent people last year in Kabul) without the local government being complicit isn't a good look and can be the perfect incentive for new recruits to sign up.

Just perpetuating the cycle of tit-for-tat violence. I have no sympathy for this bloke but it will not end here. The armaments industry in the US and elsewhere (the real winners) will be loving it...

I think they are never lacking new recruits. Any religion can, and usually has, been used at some stage to dampen logic and fire up emotional responses. As for drones on foreign soil, you're right, it's not a good look, but if the foreign soil isn't doing anything to stop the problem then maybe it sends a much needed message.

Biden is quite rightly being praised for taking out a very evil man. When Trump got shut of Soleimani he got plenty of stick for also getting rid of a very evil man with people saying he was stoking tension.
