Don't get him, am I missing summat? Never found him funny no matter how many episodes I've tried to watch.

The 1st series was good, when he was in that Travel lodge thingy, but the ones that have been on Dave tonight are garbage.

First two series were good - new stuff ok but not as funny! Bit apprehensive about the film next year to be honest!! :-(
Paul/ Pauline Calf were my favourite charcaters of Coogan's - the video diaries were hilarious

Just jumping on the bandwagon of reunions, was good in the day but should be left in the past, but i suppose its a sad indication on the poor quality programmes on the box these days that theres a need to either re-run or remake the old programmes.

His tour a couple of years ago was not good - a lot walked out in liverpool - first time I've seen that at a comedy show and I've been lucky enough to see most of the top comedians during my time time here - he was good in his day but almost seems as sad as his characterters now

Thats the problem when you make a comeback with the same characters, if it doesnt go well then people forget the good series years ago. Theres not been many good comebacks, cant think of any to be honest.

The Trip is brilliant, Coogan's got a very sharp sense of self-awareness and what other people think of him - as shown in this series, some folk will never get it, but then I don't like red cabbage or tripe. Each to their own

Massive Partridge fan. The new material worked better on the Fosters funny website- just ten minutes of funny radio whilst you were pottering about.

I liked the This is Norwich one off that was on a few weeks back and the spoof book show was pretty good, but the new series in the radio station just doesn't seem to work, there's odd moments in it but just not enough. I's a shame because the chat show was brilliant and the series in the travel lodge as well.

Couldn't disagree more with most of this thread. I think in many ways the second series was better than the first, the section where he acts out the start to the Spy Who Loved Me is brilliant.

And I think the new stuff has been very good. Its amazing how many little things you miss first time round, there's just so much packed in. Absolutely love it. The book review one had so many little bits which were genius, and I think the radio format on Mid Morning Matters works really well.

And The Trip is the best thing I've seen on telly in years. The problem he has is that Hollywood doesn't let him do anything so subtley and nuanced

Saxondale had a few funny moments but nowhere near as good as his earlier stuff.

The second series isn't as good but better than I thought at the time.

Great line from yesterday's episode when Partridge talked about how he wants to "fly a helicopter all round Norfolk, swoop down over a field and scare a donkey so it falls into a river." :D
