I understand everyone is entitled to there opinion, i would vent my views at a game but i dont go to slate my team I go to get behind the lads!!, just reading these earlie threads it makes me irate that induviduals go to Slag off Davey n Devaney and that Kid whose slated howard then chanted his name!! it gets up my back!! I think its time to get behind the lads!! The negativity from the crowd will have the same effects on the team playing!! EG If i was Odejayi i would wanna leave!!!! All the **** he takes he still pulls on that shirt and trys!! If it wasnt for him we wouldnt be in this division, that miss saved our league season!! plus them two goals against watford!! I am starting to waffle I will shut up now!
It started well then changed when they scored It's like the crowd knew the final result at that point!
Exactly what i been trying to say. But according to some we're already relegated, and will be in the conference in 3 years so lets all just practice booing, especially to a player thats coming on as a sub and aint even kicked a ball. Lets knock all confidence out of him before he's even put a foot on the pitch Off into the bathroom now to boo in the shower and practice "DAVEY OUT, DAVEY OUT, DAVEY OUT!!!
Do you not think though that paying fans who care more about the club than the players ever will have the right to voice their dissatisfaction when simon davey continually plays players out of position and then him making the ONE tactical change that he knows, one up front, when we are inevtibaly losing (due to him playing people out of position) even though all the fans know it never works. what should we do? accept it? Or voice our opinion?
ps, sorry for the bad spelling

DAVEY OUT, DAVEY OUT!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'll join with the rest of you To be honest i have more things to worry about today than all this *****
Never boo the team during the game!! For God's sake, they are OUR side!! Do you really think that booing the players or manager when the game is in progress will help? By all means slag them off on here, in the papers, on Radio, or even Telly, but not while the game is being played!! We are SUPPORTERS ffs!!
I can understand, to a piont, why you feel agrieved by the amount of "slagging off which has taken place but it's about time that the slaggers and non-slaggers stood back and looked at the wider picture.Having been a slagger, I am trying to be as constructive as I can and listen to what you the non-slaggers are saying. However, I've come to the conclusion that there must be a grey area between us and yourselves because, in my opinion non of us are totally right. where you have a point is bringing to light when some express quite openly, nasty and derogatory remarks to both management and players.Once again and in my opinion, much of the deamonising is born out of sheer frustration and as such, the frustration is manifesting and erupting into verbal aggression. This is not ideal and neither is it acceptable but, you non-slaggers must have the answere to how we the fan base are able to deal with a manager who APPEARS not to have a clue about many things, particularly in team selection and tactical ability. Simon Davey, seems to bring the worst out in many of the fans and this,I feel is the root problem. Someone somewhere must have some knowlege of a resolve to this dilemma. Many of my fears are locked in to the dread of relegation when one is able to see, inspite of not being a manager, that with re-evaluation some of the team quandries could be prevented. I'm certain it could. I'm equally certain that Davey has problems which demonstrate his inhability to develop and sustain relationships with many of the players both past and present and if only he could recognise that his rigidity was also a root cause, much could be achieved in so little time. To the people who read this please accept my apologies if you feel that I'm having yet another go at the manager but, how else can it be said, but only in a direct way.
I didn't hear any booing during the game on Saturday and I was in the Ponty End. I don't blame the players. I blame Davey. End of.
Can you really care about the club..... When you are so fatalistic and negative with all things concerned BFC. I've never heard you say a good word about them. If you did care surely you would be supporting them. I just get the feeling that even if we go on to win every game for the rest of the season you will be unhappy because it doesn't fit with your jaundist view of Davey
Rich coming from the most two faced poster on the bbs Gordon shepherd is god. Cryne is satan boo hoo.
I think the reality is that everyone has become entrenched and the reality is in the grey area. Davey has doen a lot of good things and made a lot of mistakes. I think the problem is when he gets blamed for everything anyone who thinks he is on balance doing a good job overstates his case. What I can't understand is how blind some of the criticism is. There were lots of positives to take from saturday IMHO. We started the game very well and were by far the better team in the first half, as is admitted by Coventry's website. Some of the football played was excellent and that has to be down to the manager. Coventry are a very well organised team with one of the best attacking line-ups in the division and they counter-attacked very well. Second half was disappointing. On balance it was points dropped in a game we could have won on another day, we should have been 3-o up before they scored, but to me that doesn't warrant such criticism after 2 games, both of which we should have won. If in 8 weeks time we are still losing games we should be winning then perhaps the matter changes. To say Davey is destroying this club is frankly ridiculous, and to say he is the messiah is also mad. IMHO is doing a good job on balance and I think this will be a lower mid-table season stabilising further at this level in a very tough division
ark104 with respect, could you bypass the two liner and possibly expand on what you mean with regards to fatalistic and negativety. I assume you are refering to me.I say that only because you don't say who you are responding to. Finally, if it is me would you please take into account my support for this club since the 1957/58 season and that I have never felt as negetive as I am feeling now. If it transpires that I have been wrong in respect of Davey I will apologise but, If I am right I'll make sure it comes back to bite you on the arse. How old are you by the way and how long have you been atttending matches? I say that only because we may have a lot in common to previous times.
Sorry Baskerville it was aimed at SuperTyke, although wasn't meant to be a massive dig at him just pointing out that there seems to be a huge lack of perspective as to Davey. Even if you think he could be doing better there are surely positives in his reign and I think we have by far a better team than when he took over (although depleted by injuries at the moment) and in the first half we played ecxellent football saturday. I'm 26 and have been lucky enough to see us spend the vast majority of my lifetime at this level. However, I do think the game has changed fundamentally during this period that survival at this level is far more difficult than it has ever been due to new money and the popularity of the game meaning that clubs from bigger towns command higher support and therefore bigger budgets. Really don't want to have a go at any one but I found some of the comments from people round me on saturday really frustrating and unhelpful and I also think any new signing is not being given a chance because Davey has signed them
Speaking as one of the club's happy clapping, optimistic fans I find the criticism leveled at supporters voicing their concerns ( be it in regards to team selection, formations, Simon Davey's managerial abilities, or whatever) somewhat baffling. They get berated if they voice their feelings during a game if they don't like what they see. However, if they bottle up those feelings whilst the game is in progress then come here (which is, after all, a PUBLIC forum) to vent their spleen, they are still subjected to totally unjustified abuse. In other words, you have to tow the party line or be accused by others of not being a real fan. Also, just because someone has a different view to myself, that would not justify me resorting to personal abuse against my opponent. His, or her, opinion may differ from mine, but they are just as entitled to voice it as I do. Monday morning rant over. Perhaps.
Hope I haven't come across like that. I'm not attacking the right to criticise ("I don not agree with what you say but I will defend your right to say it to the death!!"). I think there was a frustration around Oakwell saturday which did transmit to the players, but like you say thats why forums are popular because of the debate. I just don't understand the doom and gloom attitude or the personal attacks on players and management, again I appreciate they are opinions but they just seem over the top IMHO
