He's a top gaffer and does deserve a decent team. If he does go to rotherham though, it will be hard going keepingvthem up. If they're relegated it makes him look worse than he really is, to the people that don't know about him, after his first management job after being sacked.

true, but i think rotherham have already conceeded that theyre going down and are bringing in a manager who can work with the squad, rebuild it and get them back up at the first attempt, and i beleive andy ritchie will be able to do that.

    In Daily Express too.

They are chasing Andy Ritchie 'who worked wonders at local rivals Barnsley'.

    Journalist obviously isn't 'inside football'.

    That would be good.

I do think the club now needs to get rid of Nardiello & Richards - no offence to either of them - great lads, but they can't be retained if they fall into the category where they are not in a direct position to realistically challenge for a start, and are going to be disappointed at not being selected.

Like every Championship club we need 3 x realistic contenders for the 2 striking roles, and either an experienced or up-and-coming 4th striker who doesn't mind being employed as injury cover only. Don't think either Nads or Richards fit that bill, and need to go, if only for their own sanity. Richards to be shown the door first, as he is the lesser of the two, for me.

On a personal level I like the idea of Ritchie taking over at the Millers, and some of his Tyke signings joining him, particularly Richards, who is said to be settled in this area.
