...when Hill revealed that Vaz Te had called to thank him and Flicker for saving his career?

I'd have filled up more if he'd said he would sign a new contract to show his gratitude.

Was expecting this to be about petrol panic buying with the protests today.

Hope people realise panic buying causes panic buying and stupid queues.

It was a ham-fisted attempt at irony. I think I understand the point Hill was trying to make, but he must be the first manager we've had who has tried to portray losing one of our better players to a club in the same division as indicating some sort of success. Not many supporters have tended to see things that way over the years, but I guess that as we are now living in the 'new reality' we should simply applaud the fact that West Ham's loss is our gain (financially speaking of course).

I wonder if he told Vaz Te what he said on radio Dee Darr about him warming the bench at West Ham :p
