    I watched for a while but got a stiff neck watching it being booted in the air too much .
    Switched over to Athletico Madrid v Liverpool on BT Sports. Half time now 1-0 to Athletico
    They scored after three minutes. Liverpool defending similar to our carelessness for the goal.
    Hoping the 'Pool can turn it round in the second half.

    Liverpool lose the first game of the season 1-0. Played well, but as Bossman rightly said,
    Athletico defending was first class and Liverpool couldn't break them down.

    Spot on. I don't think they're that good. Definitely beatable and are having a good run with VAR. Anyone who gives them a game has a chance of beating them. They're becoming a bit like Man Utd of the nineties. Some teams roll over when they get off team bus. Thing is they aren't as good as that. Man City could field two squads if they wanted. They've just had a shocker this year.
