Hi All,
I've just got a MacBook Pro, which I haven't even opend, but can anyone tell me, do I need to have an anti virus or a friewall installed, and are there any good websites for downloading free mac software that isn't choc full of spyware?
Cheers.

Don't worry, its a Mac, just switch it on, it will instantly work for you and there will be no problems. Believe the hype, go on, believe it, you know you want to.
Should've bowt a Dell Hang on, mebbies not. Hope it's not running fookin Vista. What a right royal crock of ***** that is.
In case you've not worked it out yet, its got its own firewall and no you don't need antivirus software. I might have to get a mac next, they look impressive
Its a really lovely machine, but I'll need to get hold of Office, do you know what the latest version is for Macs. Do you also know if you can get emule for Macs?
Yes get Anti Virus I don't know if they do a free anti-virus, but there are virus's out there aimed at Mac's. There are a helluva lot more for Windows, but I would be cautious all the same.
Try aMule Not used it myself though.
http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Internet-Utilities/aMule.shtml

Its a while since I used a Mac but I think you need to click on the apple in the top left and then click on "About this Mac." Or it may be under Help.
