Anyone know anyone who can do artexing, had a bit of an issue were some water has come from my flat into the below flat and damaged the artexing on the roof and need it sorting. Everyone i have contacted all say artexing has gone out of fashion and no one does it now days. Anyone available or able to point me in right direction? Thanks
Any decent plasterer should be able to touch artex back up, I doubt there are many people who actually specialise in it these days.
it should be an insurance job but my insurance doesnt cover it as mine is building insurance and not home insurance. anyway..... its a bloody mess and could really get to know someone who does it.
Get some filler and patch the area up then with the use of a carrier bag (preferably a asda bag) put your hand in the bag and make a swirl pattern. My mate swears he's done many a remedial job like it......he calls it the Kendray swirl...
I used to chair the management company for my flat in Dodworth a few years ago. One of the flats had a leak and the bathroom was damaged and had to be completely renewed. The cost was met by the management company's insurance, not by the flat owner. I would advise you check with the company that manages your flats to see what they say. With our setup the entire building, including the flats, communal areas (like entrance halls, stairwells etc) was insured by the management company, but individual flat owners/tenants were responsible for insuring the contents. I think you should be covered.
