    Going on last season Mellis

Thought his passing was exceptional - more of a replacement for Butterfield than Drinkwater though.

Assulin is meant to be very very exciting - "a buzz goes around the place as soon as he gets the ball". That's from my mate who supports City and has watched him in the reserves a few times. Reckons he'd walk into most bottom half premiership midfields.

I know hill said he isn't going in for Assulin, but I think nows the time for him to forget what he said and go in for him.

He definitely isn't going for the chap from Man City - I get the impression that he sees him as a luxury player which the team can't carry.

Heard Hill on Football Heaven tonight talking about the Drinkwater situation and the Radio Sheff reporter asked him if Drinkwater's depature meant the Assulin deal would be done now and he said a definate no.

We have moved on and Assulin is not what we need at this moment in time.

I believe the Assulin thing is dead because we can no longer afford him either.

Sickens me that as soon as we get anything good going its snatched away for the enjoyment of other club fans and we poor Barnsley supporters always get the shitty end of the stick. Wouldnt it be nice to think for a change, x player did well when we played Y we should try to sign hin but in reality we are a corner shop surrounded by Waitrose, Sainsburys, Wallmart and Harrods. We continue to give the corner shop our custom in the hope we can prop up the business but in the end it will go bust. Market forces

If we have one of our own like Hume or Butterfield they get wiped out. A standout talent we cant keep them longer than half a season, Hammill, Butterfield. Then there are those that are just putting themselves about just to get notived, I expect Vaz is one of those. Even KH is looking for the next step as he realises what Robins realised before him, its a poison challice.
