    How small does a file need to be? Keep getting 'The file was too large. Please choose a smaller image'.

    If you're copying the same one I'm using, then you need to clear your avatar, and copy the URL into the "external image URL" rather than uploading.

    You need to host it on another site first

    try uploading it to http://www.imageshack.us/ and then copying the properties into your control panel

    upload your pic or gif then go to edit and re-size. This site gives you the correct sizes for your avatar automatically, piece o pi55! (Y)
