Not sure about Root but I think it may be a bit beyond Bairstow at the moment. That said he'll probably get a double hundred at Lords now.
Root did little wrong. Got nicely to thirty, then had a really good delivery full that came in and he wasnt out.

Judging Root far too soon. Bairstow will be an England regular for years to come, just need to keep the faith. Difficult pitch to bat on if you've not had a lot of first class crease time.
Have you ever heard there commentators on Fox. richie benaud. Can remember a game against Aus A that sky showed. England were destroying them so they left and went home with two hours of play togo.
Alot of the near 200 comments left on the article by Aussies actually stick up for and prefer our commentary to their own Channel 9. I think my favourite comment is...... Very true. We hand out Knighthoods, MBEs etc way too easily. For example Kelly Holmes had an injury hit career where she achieved very little. She had 1 good olympic games and ended up a Dame because of it. Then you have someone like Bruce Forsyth who was in the showbiz industry half a century before his long overdue becoming of a Sir.
