    It didn't exonerate him either.

I'm not saying he's definitely guilty but there's almost certainly a massive doping problem in football which is not being picked up, either through inadequate testing or people willingly turning a blind eye. If you look into the benefits that EPO grants, the rulings on Operacion Puerto and the limits on testing in football it's clear that doping is going to be widespread given the financial rewards available. Doping is endemic in cycling despite the testing being more rigorous and the financial rewards being lower. Any top top level sportsperson is almost certainly doping on a simple balance of probabilities. I would happily put my mortgage on any of Usain Bolt, Cristiano Ronaldo, Serena Williams, Nadal, Djokovic etc. having doped if there were some way to conclusively determine it.

He failed a drugs tests. He will have missed a couple of years of development in his important younger years. He's not as good as the players we already have in his position. If we lost some CBs around the time his ban ends we would want to replace them with guys who are match fit with plenty of recent matches behind him. I think he would be lucky to find a Championship club.

I think Bambo’s weaknesses could be coached whereas his strengths (literally) were not something that can be coached. With that in mind, I’m sure Val could improve him. Particularly as it was his position too.

We’ll have to see where he ends up after his ban.
