Just read about the final closure due at the weekend.</p> Barnsley fc.net played an extremely important role in the lives of many Barnsley fans as we all came gradually onto the internet over the last 10 years or so. It provided a great meeting place, and is responsible for the forming of many lasting friendships. I know I have made friends on here, and I regard the site, and its successor as being among the front runners of all fan websites.</p> Sadly, it's time is up, but it's legacy lives on in a new board that will hopefully continue to provide that vital "lifeline" that football fans look for in a good website.</p> I want to thank all the old site admin team for what was both an excellent service, and a great experience.</p> As a contributor to the old board, I am pleased to see the disbursment of outstanding funds to charity, and I very much approve of the choice.</p> Thanks one and all.</p>
