I bought the 99p trial on saturday so I could listen to the Norwich commentary. How do I cancel the subscription?
Question for Matt1575 when I can't get to the matches, like tonight!! its because I'm at work,is it possible to buy a radio of some kind that can receive 1575 out here(I'm in Mexborough)I can get it if I go on the multi storey car park roof, not practical when at work though.
RE: Question for Matt1575 Without getting technical (which I'm not capable of anyhow!), being on the AM frequency unfortunately means that our signal output is limited. So...the further away from the stadium and the transmitter you are, the less clear the reception. Some people even have difficulty receiving us in the immediate Barnsley area. My best advice to you (if you have PC access at work) would be, to do what young fearn has done and pay 99p for the Barnsley World trial version, on those occasions when you can't make the game due to work commitments. I'd advise not to try and listen on the top of the multi storey, especially if we are struggling, as you might get a sudden, uncontrollable urge to jump!
Thanks for the reply Matt,I used to subscribe to Barnsley World, but I can't really get near the PC,but I also got fed up of losing the stream(usually just before a goal for some reason,or am I being paranoid!!!)I just wondered if a more effective receiver/aerial might help.
Mexborough should theoretically be in the AM range, so investing in a decent aerial might work. The trouble with evening games, is that there are loads of different stations (generally overseas ones) vying for the same frequency, and poor night-time atmospherics also seem to affect the signal quality.
