BBS cliques

Have to wonder who runs this board and why rules dont apply of youre in the 'clique'
For months now ive seen people on here accused of lying that genuine stories arent true, just because many members arent old enough or hide by their keyboards too much to remember how things were in the 70s and 80s or that life outside these boards actually exists and that we didnt always need to hide behind a username to be a fan and didnt need to hide out in forums to say things we wouldnt have the guts to say to someones face
I've watched people be accused of not watching this club simply because their postal address isnt 'from tarn' and been accused of amongst paedophiles.
Since when does a postcode dictate which team you can support?
Since when does a postal address qualify you as living in 'paedo town' and since when did every person who has Rotherham in their postal address deserve the right to have their name brought into the same sentence as such deporable acts like by living there they are somehow linked?
But the it all depends which clique you are in as to whether its acceptable doesn't it?
Seems we all have to say RIP to a bit of friendly banter, go hide behind our keyboards pretending to be 'educated' and then ramp it up a notch and dish personal insults whilst hiding behind a screen to say something you wouldn't dare say to someones face.....that way you get to be promoted to a member of the 'clique' and rendered untouchable

Interesting first post.

I’m not from ‘tarn’ either.

Barnsley as a club and town are intrinsically linked. Unlike some other clubs, the vast majority of Barnsley fans do live in the Barnsley borough or immediately next to it.

I do accept that to a point but I do feel an outsider to some on here simply because I don’t come from Barnsley. I’m hardly far away - north side of donny and a twenty minute drive to Oakwell on a good day - yet this apparently makes me a caravan dwelling traveller to some!

That said, whilst the paedo town stuff was in very poor taste, the poster it was aimed at is perfectly capable of and does defend himself - and did wind up in the first place. It was inappropriately worded but I’m not sure it intended to offend - or even if it did offend the recipient.

I have heard of the internet expression "clickbait",but this is a new one "cliquebait"

 

My Rotherham postcode does not mean im a Miller or a Paedo. Funnily enough some people on here think you have to be and think its acceptable to call you that
Miller I can put up with, banter I can put up with....the other is pure sick !!!!
No I havent been on here before and tbf I've only created an account to raise because I'm sick of people who constantly have the attitude that 'they have to be there for it to be true' i.e. if others reminisce it somehow never happened and is bull because its not their own experience of 'how it was'
I'd actually be happy to vouch for another ''Miller' who definitely is a lifelong Barnsley fan despite not being 'from tarn', may be a general pain in the arse and likes the odd wind up but doesnt deserve to be banned from these boards for 'biting' after days of being called a paedophile because of where he lives !!!!!

Think someone needs to explqin this to admin who think its justifiable to remove people from this board not once but twice on the premise that others on here think they cannot possibly be a Barnsley fan because they dont have a Barnsley postcode and therefore report them as not having a legitimate interest in the club....oh and also for apparently biting when they have been persistently baited and called a paedo because of where they live. A jokes one thing but admin need to stamp on the keyboards of knobs who think 'banter' should include making light of what happened in Rotherham !!!
Just my opinion but hey ho what would I know im a Miller and sympathiser of all things Rotherham too

I am not stating that a post that gets likes constitutes a clique. I am stating that there seems to be no standard policy on posting applied. Some people get away with things on here that others cannot rather than it being the same rule for everyone. Being one of the clique offers you more protection. There are clear favourites on here and others whose contribution clearly isnt welcommed

 

If Rogue Trader has been banned, I would guess it's for the directed, personal insults that he/she thought were appropriate, rather than any propensity for wind-ups.
