It appears to me the BBS is split into 3 groups at the moment.

1.Those desperate for Flitcroft to find last years form

2.Those desperate for Flitcroft to fail to prove last years form was a fluke despite showing almost promotionship form

3.Those who are desperate for Flitcroft to fail because they for whatever reason didn't want him in the first place and after eating some humbler pie they want to be proved right.

As for me,I want my club to achieve the best they can be.If that's with Flitcroft fantastic,if not I've trust in the powers that be to address the situation.

I just want us to win a game of football. No hidden agendas, nothing. Just to win a game of football.

I'm same as Dyson, just want us to actually lake football, like last season.

No room for sentiment in football

club bigger than the individual, its simple really, win some football matches by whatever means or goodbye.

For the record, I'm a bit disillusioned because it seems Flitcroft contradicts his words with his actions/team selections.

It's always important to be seen as being knowledgable

Even if it means waiting years to finally have your baseless prejudices proven 'right'

But I'm with SM - Flickers actions do not match his words so far this season.

Still want us to win games mind, whoever's in charge.

I agree about wanting the team to succeed, whoever the manager is, but after last season's form I'd like Flicker to succeed.

We shouldn't be getting rid of a manager so early into the season. Admittedly, the performances haven't been great and the management team seem to have lost last season's philosophy and began to pay opposition teams too much respect. Hopefully yesterday's meeting will have included Patrick/Maurice/Ben telling Flitcroft to get back to last seasons attacking football, and away from the current defensive mentality.

Hope flitcroft changes tactics , why change tactics from last season what worked .i do think some of the players are to blame , not putting maximum effort in and not performing even allowing for flickers strange position choices

At the minute I'd be quite happy if we could concede less than an average of 3 every hone game and attempt to win the occasional away match.

Re: It's always important to be seen as being knowledgable

My biggest worry is he's thrown out a style of play and tactics that worked and won football matches. He needs to take a step back and try and see things objectively. He knows what he's trying to achieve, but it just isn't working. Stop overthinking things, focus on what we do, pick a back 3, 4 or 5 and stick with it. The defence isn't going to improve by having an unfamiliar face in it every match.

But if he persists with the current approach, he'll eventually alienate the majority of his squad, see gate numbers fall and apathy wins the day again.... and inevitably he'll be shown the door.

I want David Flitcroft to succeed as manager of Barnsley Football Club and given time, patience and tolerance I believe that is achievable. The 'no sentiment in football' approach could well be valid provided it's directed efficiently. Some believe that means Flitcroft needs to be sacked. Personally, I believe it means David Flitcroft should adopt the approach, removing players from the team he's shown a great deal of faith in and had that faith thrown back at him with their displays and efforts.
Even when the club has employed managers who I didn't like (Davey & Hart being recent examples), given the choice I always wanted them to be successful as Barnsley managers. The success of our club is more important to me than my over inflated ego and need to be proved right.

I am still 100% in this group. I just hope that Flicker has seen what he has been doing wrong and goes back to what he was doing right last season. The biggest worry for me is that the next three games are very difficult and I'm sure even the most negative of people expected us to have more than four points and a much better goal difference going into these three games.

I want a team greater than the sum of its parts back again, not a bunch of theoretically 'better' players who apparently can't play the same game together at the same time. Workers not shirkers, please. Here's a tune for them.....

Point 2 is just nonsense. I can't believe anybody wants that.

I personally want him to succeed, as I am sure 99% do, but he isn't helping himself be a success this season, making elementary mistakes, I will criticise on here if I feel it is warranted.

I like the new word you have invented though.

I really want Flitcroft to succeed and am certainly in favour of him getting a bit more time, certainly the next 3 games at the very least. He deserves that for the miracle he pulled off last season. It is starting to look however, as if he is very short on tactical nous. He isn't learning from his mistakes and if it continues we all know there's only one way it will end.
His loyalty to certain players will inevitably be his downfall.

    Everybody wants point one.

The difference is some think it could happen while others don't.
