I reckon you've got a decent (ish) chance tomorrow. Despite the last two results (neither West Ham or Olympiacos actually turned up) we haven't played well in ages. Grant will make changes and, even though it'll be a strong team, there will be weaknesses. If Ben Haim plays he can be vulnerable. Cudicini is weak on crosses. Belletti tackles like my nan (and she's been dead for about 20 years). SWP can't control or cross a ball to save his life. If you are a goal up, or changes need to be made, Grant has shown no indications so far of being able to change the course of a game through substitutions or changes in formation - one of Mourinho's biggest strengths. So, it could be interesting! I'm really looking forward to it though. Hope you all have a good one. I'll come back on next week, win, lose or draw. All the best....
Just Read The Match Preview On Setanta The bit that stands out is how you were 3-0 up after 20 minutes against West Ham and then 2-0 up after 25 minutes in the champions league. So our chances of lasting until half time without letting in is very low.
True - like I said though, both West 'Am and Olympiacos were utter pants in those games. Keep it tight and it'll be interesting!
Cheers mate. Hope you enjoy the game regardless of the score, and don't find it "grim up north". Hope the atmosphere is great, and also really hope that you don't embarass us. If we were still in the game with 20mins to go i'll be happy. Would love to see Sheva play - absolutely love him. May bring my Chelsea shirt along if he's playing to see if he will autograph it.
You'll be disapointed as I will be........... http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=100335&mid=648447#M648447
A real shame that mate, I think Sheva's ace. Milan keep sniffing though unfortunately don't they. Would you like him to stay, or do you think he'd be better off going back to Italy? What's the general concensus around the Bridge about him mate? At a guess most will be of the opinion that they still want him to be at his best, and for that reason they still have hope. He seems to be picking the language up quite well, and I imagine that being good for his family - who he said that he made this move for.
You wanted to see him too then mate? Looks like we'll have to put up with crap like Anelka and Kalou / Pizarro then ;-)
I'd rather see the top players and not the fringe players. It's not everyday we get players like that down at Oakwell and I want to make most of it. That's why I was glad Fat Frank had his ban overturned.
