I'm sorry but he is ****. 100% to blame for City's first goal, and in my opinion should have stopped the 3rd!

Again another player that is in the England squad that I don't think is anywhere near good enough. The goal keeping position is real weak point in the England squad. Im not sure on Robert Green either.

didnt see the match, but every keeper is allowed a bad match now and then. Foster is the only long term option i can see for england at the min. green is a good keeper, but not too sure about him being number one in the country. then again though there really is not a lot of good options.

Sad when you are as old as I am, and can remember the keepers we had.

Banks, Stepney, Bonetti, West (from Darfield), Ron Springett, Alan Hodgkinson in the 60's and 70's.

Shilton and Clemence in the 80's.

he has been pretty crap since watford which was his one and only consistent spell of good performances, shouldn't be in the full england squad, I would rather have Joe Hart in the squad, Van Der Saar will be straight back in the team once fit

Shilton, Clemence and Corrigan. All 3 were better than the current crop. All would have been no1 had they not been around together. The current lot aren't very good it has to be said. Foster is looking dodgy now he is being given a chance at United, Green is ok, Carson is crap. In fact, I would stick my neck out and say James is probably the best of the lot still, and that is worrying. Kirkland maybe deserves another chance before next summer.

Robinson was unlucky to be dropped by McLaren in the first place, and is unlucky to be in a poorish Blackburn side so he's conceding a few, but there's nobody that gives me any more confidence than him still. I don't see to many rushes off blood or drops from him.

Gordon Banks he's not, but then nobody is.

Also, I wonder how Banks and Shilton Et Al would look with the modern ball flying all over the shop? They'd no doubt adapt but you could trust the flight of the ball even up to about ten years ago, since then they get lighter every year. They even market 'elite' match balls as goalkeeper's nightmares.
