My favourite comedys of all time were Only fools and horses and Fawlty towers but they cannot compete with Ref watch on sky starring Dermot Gallagher.Absolutely brilliant.
Last few series of Everybody Loves Raymond. Early series not good but later ones are brilliant. Watch it most days if I can. I suppose I like it because I can relate to it as there are very much similarities to my own family when me and my brother lived with our parents.
Hard to pick a favorite as so many amazing comedy shows over the years. My faves would have to be Pheonix Nights, Max and Paddy, The Inbetweeners and Alan Partidge. Stath lets flats is ace too which came out more recently
For anyone wanting something modern, watch INSIDE NO. 9. Each episode is self contained. At the moment, it's this and Taskmaster that are the best thing on for comedy.
The Office (controversial, I know, but I prefer the US version...) Red Dwarf Taskmaster Would I Lie to You 8 out of 10 Cats does Countdown Peep Show
Brass Vicar of Dibly Allo Allo. Soap Not comedies but very funny Who’s line is it anyway and Would I lie to you. ( especially when Bob Mortimer appears)
I saw that advertised when I went to New York, but not really heard much of it over here. Was it a flop in the UK or do I just hate American "comedy".
Like most of the old ones - Rising Damp etc, Old American stuff like Mash and Bilko. Modernish American Frasier IT crowd, Friday Night Dinner, Derry Girls, Inbetweeners , Thick of it , Red Dwarf The Office (both) Love Still Game as well !
