I heard on Sunday evening that Flicker has "lost the dressing room". Apparently his leadership style has changed from being one of the lads and creating a team spirit and camaraderie (last season) and now is being more dictatorial in his methods. The words that were used "he thinks he's now made it in management and its gone to his head". Only what I've heard, so don't know how true this is. Results, team ethic and Steele decision (bringing his mate Pollitt in) points towards some degree of truth?
So where is this fighting team spirit we had 2nd half of last season? It's gone......why? I was never stating this was 100% fact, but maybe other BBS users might know more?
Thank fck. I sincerely hope he's read them the riot act tonight Some f.uc,kng crockery should have been smashed in that dressing room tonight, a few home truths and a man up or ship out type speech, see you all at 8am on the training pitch for some grafting.
I wish I knew what had happened but I don't think it's down to a lost dressing room. I wasn't saying you were talking ballax by the way, just commenting on the "he's lost the dressing room" headline that always comes out whenever a club loses a few games.
Mario, I thought the same when I was told this.......but then you see the Steele/Pollitt situation, poor tactics and team spirit tonight resulting in a 5-1 thrashing. Makes you wonder if there is some degree of truth in it?
I've got to agree the Pollitt signing is a real headscratcher and it noy only knocks the confidence of Steele but Alnwick too.
Re: Thank fck. I sincerely hope he's read them the riot act tonight Too many hiding tonight, no one wanting to put in a shift, only going to mean one result against quality opposition and that's a tonkin. I'd rather see 11 kids from the youth team fighting for their lives then first teamers dialling in lazy performances.
