Agree regarding Cotterill and can understand why some wouldn't want Grayson despite his previous record of getting teams promoted via league one. However, can't understand anyone wanting Coleman. Aside from the job he did at Wales his club record is pretty poor. And as for Scholes, he was a great player, but done nothing to suggest he could be a good manager. Bowyer is a decent choice for me - worked wonders under difficult circumstances.
I don't think that's the case. There seems to be two world's for football supporters which sometimes merge. The world of the Internet fan, who doesn't have a break between games or even a closed season, and the fans that couldn't give a **** about message boards, who will have put last season behind them and will get the news as it comes rather than demanding it, and look forward to the world cup and next season. My hearts not always in it when we're getting loved week in and out in the championship, but the seasons gone and a new start is only a few months away. The only thing that drags me down is some other posters.
Cos on some levels I’m a tight sod so if I have a season ticket I would drag myself to all the crap Tuesday night games whereas if I haven’t got one I can stay at home. I think I went to 18 home games and was free to miss the ones I couldn’t be arsed to go to. I also enjoyed sitting in different parts of the ground (without faff) and meeting up with old mates who I don’t usually see in the east Stand upper. I had a flexi ticket. Used mates season tickets who were in holiday for 6 games. Couple of offers. And paid full price for 5. Like I said not for everyone but worked better than a season ticket. Those I usually go with were pretty miserable by seasons wend while I was still in fairly good spirits.
Totally agree with the last bit of that. Anyone looking for a big name appointment should go back to bed. Just because we've got owners with money doesn't make us any more attractive. We're in League 1 remember!
Exactly this! Sick of seeing fans obsessing about having spoilers in the middle of the park. Just recruit midfielders who are good enough to play like a proper central midfield player. It's no good having someone who is good at breaking up play, if he's also an expert at giving the ball away & creating nothing. These all-round players do exist as we've had them in recent years. Still gutted that we didn't manage to keep Sam Morsy on a permanent deal. The extra money that he wanted could have made all the difference. Instead we've invested in chuff knows how many others who weren't up to it. Can't see why they think that makes financial sense.
Well I don't know how much extra money he wanted or what went wrong with the Morsy situation but I wish he'd joined us. By the way, is that a tank I can see over your left shoulder?
