Bit unethical but...

    anyone know any software that is vista/7 compatible for working out my network / wifi password? I've 'forgotten' it and want to learn how to do it without goin through my router settings... (chinny)

    Right to start of go to


    start

    type in cmd

    press enter

    when the black box loads up type in ipconfig

    find the address that says default gateway it will looks like this 192.168.1.2 or something similar

    type that address into your browser

    go into your wireless settings

    and you should be able to see/change your password

    you have to be connected to the wirless network for that to work though

    so what ive said might be pretty worthless to yoi

    Isn't this illegal, cracking wireless keys? Anyway I know you need two laptops with wireless, one to constantly 'ping' the network and the other to sniff the packets and extract the key.This only works on WEP encrytion though. If its WPA 2 then forget it
