Girlfriend got one for christmas. How long does the bloody thing take to charge? The manual suggests a four hour charge the first time you charge. I charged it for 4 and a half hours and it was still charging. As it is charged through the PC's power using USB, it continues to charge whilever the PC is on. Since boxing day night, (when it had its four and a half hour charge) the PC has been on for around 2 hours. All this time the shuffle has been plugged in and continues to charge. Still not full [IMG]. The manual does reccommend using USB2, but I dont think I have any USB2 sockets. But I thought all a USB2 did was transfer files faster, nothing to do with faster charging as well?

What a pain in the arse this unit is - although it does look quite snazzy. Still not as good as my Creative MuVo2 though. At least that can charge normally through the mains.

    what about iTunes?

I bought our young 'un an Ipod and iTunes is the biggest crockiest shittiest piece of software I have ever seen. I'll stick with my Creative Zen thanks.

    Uuuuuuh

Dont even go there. I have installed it. That is as much as I can say on that matter so far. Heard so many bad reports about using iTunes.

Is it just possible to drag and drop songs to the ipod? Seeing as it comes up as a removable drive an all?

    Any help -

    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300499

Also if it doesnt work there are 15-20 pound chargers in currys for ipods (you could even try to pull a skanky one saying the shuffle didnt meet expectations and has caused alot of messing about and get the charger on the free:)S) )

I'd go for the Creative Zen.
