I was catching the train back upto Toon from Doncaster station on Saturday at around 18.30. Who should be sat on platform 8 with his disco gear on and a his sports bag?? None other than the Championship leading scorer. Yep your number 9, Mr Michael Chopra. He was with another lad in CCFC tracksuit, looked a bit like a young Andy Ritchie!! Any idea who that was? Anyway i had about 30 secs craic with Chops, asked him how you'd gone on (i knew) he looked a bit down as he replied "Lost 2 nil" i asked if he played and he said "aye" with all the enthusiasm of a tykes season ticket holder. I patted him on leg on said "thas on fire this season" he politely laughed and said cheers, i managed to squeeze a thanks in for his time at Oakwell before his moby rang, no doubts her indoors. There was a couple of CCFC fans knocking around so i think he pretended to be on phone for next 30mins lol p.s I was in your lovely city two weekends back for the U2 gig and may i say what a smashing time i had before during and after the gig. The locals were very friendly and welcoming and kept me out till 4.30am lol
