Doesn't seem to be able to come to terms with being ginger.

    It's not Bobby Hassell's fault

"I'm not a midfielder but I can a job in there just to sit and protect the back four, which is what the gaffer has asked me to do," he explained.

"Obviously on Saturday there wasn't a central midfielder on the bench and I knew I'd be put there straight away. I'll play anywhere. I just want to play.

"When I was at Mansfield I played a full season there but that was eight seasons ago."

That's just a standard response of any player asked to play out of position.

"I just want to play, I don't care what position, I'd play in goal if the gaffer asked me, blah blah blah"

What else is the guy to do then?

Refuse to play in the position? That'd go down well. (doh)

that's just it, he doesn't sit and protect back 4 the amount of times he's in front of howard with no end product.

Of course not. I was just saying that he's bound to give the response that he did, no matter how he's feeling about it inside. I'm not criticizing the guy, it's understandable he's going to say that rather than go and openly whinge about the manager's tactical decisions, it was just an observation on a comment that we've seen from every player who has been played out of position.

And I was responding to the guy who said

which is a stupid thing to post, IMO.</p>

Is that because he is too far up or because Howard is too far back.

I agree with Springvale here. Too often Bobby is seen too high up the pitch for me - if you are in front of Howard you are too high up. If you think Howard is too deep I reckon that could be because he doesn't trust Bobby in that position so he decides to try and do Bobby's job as well as his own.

That is the exact reason why I think we are a totally different team when Anderson is playing. Bri trusts him and sees fit to play his own role, hence we see the best of Howard.

Christ! Wonder if he's in the garden there playing with his grandkids?

Maybe you could turn that argument around.
Suppose Bobby thinks that Howard isn't doing his job well enough and is trying to do his job as well as his own.
Both scenarios are equally feasable and equally non-productive.

I kinda prefer my theory as Bobby does neither effectively, defensively or attacking. Whereas I think Bri does a good job when attacking (apart from being a bit greedy) defensively however he does try, but I think that's his limit.
