    His testimonial season (10th season)... does it really count if he doesn't play a game?

    We've got so many defenders that Flicker will pick ahead of him (even Jim, who's not a defender). The squad will have to be completely decimated from injuries/suspensions and even then he'd probably only make the bench. Can't be very nice for him sat in the comm box, he'll feel like he's retired already.

    It's certainly an embarrassing situation that Flitcroft has got himself into.

    Not a great situation. If I was Bobby I'd have gone and played a couple of years at Rotherham or Chesterfield or wherever. It's basically just a publicity stunt to allow him his testamonial. Thing is, if fit I'd pick him next game considering the lack of form and available defenders.
