Box Sets

Well I must have missed something because the only one I have heard of out of the those is Sopranos. To be honest, as I can't be doing with watching American tv channels (because of all the ads every 2 minutes and I can't be bothered recording) the only tv I watch is the News (BBC World and local), live footie, ice hockey, other sports occasionally and British imports (BBC Canada) and downloaded British quiz shows. You can take the girl out of Britain.......

Got signed up to Netflix and most of the series are on there.... fancying Breaking Bad, also I noticed (whilst watching DAVE) that there is a new series of Red Dwarf coming out soon so I might give those a watch too, seen them all before but it is easy watching (surprised nobody mentioned them actually).

To be fair, that's a terrible excuse to make for what is quite frankly, one of the best shows on the television.

The 'theme' of food is prevalent throughout the entire show (even in the opening credits). I've never really been able to touch on why, however, I think I'm just overthinking things through, and in its most simplest form, it's purely because he's got to eat. People do have to eat. However, maybe it's the one thing that shows in him a shred of humanity.

Either way, it's never been a big enough stumbling block to the point where I've noticed it for the wrong reasons, and it's spoilt my enjoyment of the show.

I'd recommend persisting with it - season 3 isn't the best, but work yourself through that and watch season 4 - absolutely terrific.

 

Probably not the best reason to dismiss the show I know, just I personally found it distracting, are you saying he's munching something every two minutes in every episode? Couldn't put up with that I'm afraid - I'll admit I am a bit weird when it comes to watching people eat with their gob wide open and speaking at the same time!

 

Peep Show, IT Crowd and I'm Alan Partridge are fantastic, would imagine most people have seen the latter although his revival of the character on Sky is absolute tripe. The humour seems totally different to me.
