Becausse they are mad!!1.

But who knows we are not running the business and the football club is been running by astute business men so they must know what they are doing.

3000fans @ £20ph = £60000 + £2ph sales = £6000 total £66000
5000fans @ £15ph = £75000 + £2ph sales = £10000 total £85000
10000fans @ £10ph = £100000+ £2ph sales = £20000 total £120000
15000fans @ £5 ph = £75000 + £2ph sales = £30000 total £105000
20000fans @ £3 ph = £60000 + £2ph sales = £40000 total £100000
23009fans @ £1 ph = £23009 + £2ph sales = £46018 total £69027

The club have to understand that getting people into Oakwell is the key.
A full house at £1 each entrance fee, will undoubtably generate more income through added sales, eg merchandise, programmes, refreshments etc, than over priceing people away and getting just 3000 paying customers.

I think you are mistaken here though.

They may make a bit more on merchandise but I believe the club don't get any more money for increases in programmes or refreshment sales. The club get a fixed income from the third parties who provide these functions irrespective of sales.

it was just an extreme example.(lets face it, we wouldn't get a full house even if TFP fired a rocket out of his arris at halftime from the center circle)
The 10000fans @ £10 a go seems a better target...imo

They should wear a mask and stripey jumper ....

... the robbing gets, should be same price as Darlington match, better to have 12,000 in ground at £12 (£144,000) than 8,000 in ground at £17 (£136,000).... they have no idea what they are doing

It's the first of 3 home games in a week

Bradford then Tranmere then Scnuthorpe, all at home. 2 weeks before Christmas. And Scnuthorpe's a category A. Cheapest adult ticket - £20. Twenty of your English pounds. For f.uking Scnuthorpe!

thats if they could be sure that they would get 12,000. although if we budgeted to go out in first round why not take the risk. I will be going as im boycotting all cat a matches.

Good point. All monies made from this game are extra. Perfect chance to make a statment and reduce prices as goodwill for the poor sods who've put up with years of ****.

I can't understand some of you people. Fair enough 3 games in a week is a lot, and maybe £12 and £6 would have been good for the Bradford game, but it's not as easy as that!! Bradford have 2 agree 2 it, and maybe they wouldn't! For god's sake it's a yorkshire derby in a FA CUP match with the winners having a chance 2 draw Man U or Chelsea etc, not just any old boring game!!

I live in Hull and am coming 2 all 3 games, and I am 20 years old and earn a very average wage, people saying they won't go 2 cat A games makes me sick!! If you love the club you stick by them!! It costs me £15 just 2 come 2 a game, then season ticket and food/drink!

I buy a season pass because you save money, and watch the club through thick and thin which I have done!! Yes £20 is a lot of money, but the club needs 2 make money if we are ever going 2 get anywhere! I would look at making one game £5 adults and £1 kids or something like that, 2 really try and fill some seats, cause I hate sitting in a empty stadium! Gillingham would be a good one if we are out the FA cup or another one after that, I hope someone could try ask the club 2 do this!!??

This season has been good so far, back Andy Ritchie, I for one really like him!! Get behind the team, we have a lot of young lads doing well and others are playing 10% better than last season so get behind the reds and let's get back in the championship where we belong!!

Thats a good one .....

.... "I'm 20 years old and have watched them through thick and thin!"

So you were born in 1985, you have never seen bad times mate, we have been in the Championship (old 2nd division) most of your time and you have experienced the Premiership and Wembley play-off final.

Believe me, things have been a lot worse than they are now but good on you for spending your cash and time following the reds. All I would say is have a thought for those with families and small incomes, the prices are very high, and valid points have been made in this thread.

I can agree in some points, just not others! I do think something like Under 16s for a £1 with paying adults would be a good idea, or try giving out free tickets 2 schools twice a season, I would love 2 see 6000 people in the north stand once or twice a season and use the empty section of the west stand for away fans!
