Re: Barnsley is no better these days... A few years ago stood waiting to board the tube in lisbon. A dutch bloke caught a guy dipping the pocket of some other guy as we all attempted to get on the train. The east european who had the wallet clearly in his hand pleaded his innocence but to no avail. Between the dutch guy and the bloke whos wallet it was, they forced him to the floor on the train and about 1/2 a dozen of the dutch guys mates took it in turn to stamp on the east europeans hand....he screamed like a pig in a slaughter house..loads of people cheered and clapped. They only stopped stamping on his hand when the police arrived. The police then took him away and as they did so one of the officers gave him a right dig in his ribs. A woman on the train said that was the best justice she had witnessed as the police would only caution them as it was pointless trying to take them to court as they would just disappear before any court date.
