Its not what he said he would do though is it.

I defended him on here but he seems to be taking the P I S S out of not only barnsley but is new club.

Hes been out since jan. Its a nasty injury.
He should be working every day in gym.and on a football pitch. If he doesnt hit the ground running i would give him a year and he will be binned by whatever club hes at.

No offence but I'm sure the club's physio team know how much work he needs to do over the summer. He'll have been given a fitness schedule like all the other players...

What on earth do us fans know about rehab and recovering from injuries? Let's trust the physio team!!!

I raised the holiday thing, but my point was his lack of respect not being in touch with the club

As ive said before ive had a knee ligament injury.
Not the one Jabobs got but i know how it feels and i know how it feels 5 years on becuase i tired to take short cuts and guess what, it didnt work.

If i was Mr Butterfield i would be putting 100% in now becuase a good year could make him or break him and affect the rest of is life.

PS hes going back on what HE said.

Rob Staton, of Radio DeeDar fame, tweeted an audio link last week, of an interview with King Keith, where his royal baldness stated that he had met with Jacob last week. Which is a fact. The Don claims to not know what is going on yet Jacob has been at Oakwell as much as any other player, doing his rehab, so the Don is telling porkies. But it wouldn't be a first. Neither is it the first time that the Don and Keith say different things.

The rules are that we only get compensation for him IF we have offered him a contract. If we withdraw the contract offer and on July 1st he signs for someone else then we don't get a penny because at the point he signed for someone else he couldnt possibly have signed for us because there was no contract offer.

But what happens if on June 29th (as an example) he walks into oakwell and says he wants to sign? The club HAVE to let him otherwise theres no compensation.

    Not a chance then.

I thought robs thing on audioboo said hes been in contact not hes been to Oakwell.

A phone call can be made anywhere in the world. Jacob needs to remember that.

Why? Is it the physio's fault they had injuries that could not be fixed? FFS, come on HT!

Come on then Mr Know It All.
Explain where Jacob has gone back on what he apparently said.
I truly hope you aren't suggesting that Jacob having an holiday - out of season - is him going back on his word. That would be silly.
Btw Phil, the lad has a rehab schedule set by the physio/doctors etc, and that will include TIME OFF. You don't know the first thing about him, his injury, his lifestyle, or football in general. So God only knows why I get into these debates with you. I must enjoy them. But then, it's always enjoyable arguing with folk who know nowt, especially when you are in receipt of the facts.
I look forward to the next couple of years where you eventually slag off your latest academy hero Paul Digby.
    Goodnight.
