in the games ive seen him he gets stuck in, and he works his socks off, we shoudn't get rid of him because we need the competition for places, don't want players getting too complacent

yeah. he does need to be given a chance. but. I'll bet anyone that he doesn't have a future here. i don't think he's good enough. and if he was good enough in training he would have been given his chance by now.

It surprises me that people want Christensen to be given a chance in the first team - maybe they just want to make up their own minds about him (as opposed to trusting the manager's judgement).

Even when Odejayi (and Mostto) were out of favour, SD opted to bring in Macken (rather than play Christensen), so I think that says it all. IIRC, Ferenczi was missing for a few games as well during that period. Possibly Christensen is "not ready" for some reason that we do not yet know about.

Incidentally, I don't agree with your assessment of Grant McCann. I think he has more than proved his value (both last season and this). He's a hard working player and a tidy passer of the ball. He does tend to drift inside a bit when he plays out on the side, but SD seems to trust him, and doesn't hesitate to put him in the team when needed.

 

Yeh, no point in having a squad. Let's stick to just 16 players, that'll do.

IU don't think that assumption can be made by him as he will have never seen Diego Leon play football.

 

McCann is a decent league one player at best

although I would say he gives 100% thats not enough on its own

 

Hope Diego is a world beater but you have to ask yourself why is he not in the Grasshoppers 1st team?
