I'm thinking of buying a Canon Powershot A620. As usual I know nothing about it. What will be the best way to get my prints?
Choices 1 Home printing - get a nice new photo printer and print them out at the touch of a button. Either via your computer or with a printer that you connect your camera or memory card to directly. Top, top quality but more expensive than... 2 Slip your memory card into one of those auto machines you see in Boots and that and print some off. Even cheapers is... 3 Take your memory card to a traditional photo processing place and get some prints. And the cheapest... 4 Download the photos to your computer and then send them to an online photo processing place. Tip - the more photos you have processed the cheaper each individual print will be, unless you print them yourself and each print will always cost the same. Advice: Get all your photos printed at either an online or regular photo processing joint and only print the ones you really like on your own printer at a bigger size.
RE: Reight Jay, cheers pal. Have you used both klick and max spielman, both online. Both ok, but reckon there might be some cheaper places. Although klick keep sending me special offer codes, offering the 7p prints etc.
ps, depending what you are wanting it for, it looks a good camera. A bit big for my liking, I prefer to give up features or pay a bit more, and get something that fits in the pocket easier. I am probably looking for a new one in the new year, ixus 750 is the current favourite.
RE: lol! Haven't even used a digital camera yet. in which case, a few tips: expect to take more photos that you do with a normal camera. If you are not careful you become very snap happy, because you know you can edit down later. Only take photos on the highest quality/size settings. Its pointless doing anything else, unless you know a photo is only for a very specific purpose. Which leads onto, get a big memory card. Then get a couple more big cards. Memory cards are getting cheaper all the time. When you are taking more photos, and on the best quality, the cards fill up fast. And its not always easy to decide which photos to dump until you download them to the computer. At which point you will keep them anyway, cos its only a few pence to dump them to cd.
RE: Thi box braaanie jacked then? I never got round to getting one of those. I used to do sketches and make mental notes. Henceforth you shall be known as Dave of Norwich.
RE: lol! Haven't even used a digital camera yet. I use the 2nd highest quality setting and get perfect pics. Works out at 1 pic per Mb of memory. I've just got a 256Mb card which I've never come close to filling.
RE: That depends .... It's a sort of silver colour. Are they the easiest or should I go for that metallic beige one Driver's getting.
RE: That depends .... Have you got big muscles? Do you wear vest tops? Have you any pictures you could send me?
