Much as I can't believe I'm going to in any way defend him . . . . . . I don't think it is fair that he should be expected to disclose the extent of his personal wealth. Income arising from the tax payer is one thing but any other assets, where they have been accrued fairly, are his own business. I don't believe that someone can't do a good job just because they've got lots of money. There are plenty of people throughout history who have made great contributions to society despite being well off and in some cases in ways that were only possible because of it. Having said that, there's no way I'm voting for the barsteward.
He was asked about his wifes wealth some time ago..........he said ............something on the lines of.........."yes she owns a field near Scnuthorpe" That field turned out to be 3000 acres of prime farmland valued at £5000 per acre
He is also related to the Queen.................and........ ............there was a call from Buckinham Palace to the Tory office when he first started work
Everything..............but he went to Eton and they are taught that they have the right to govern.. ...............the rest of us Thats why the Cons front bench is full of Eton educated guys
nice one andrew marr! I think it's a fair question to ask - tries to come across as a man of the people and distances himself from his roots. Marr was just trying to get to the bottom of the sunday times' £30 million statement
don't like the guy but you are right Winston Churchill for example was incredibly wealthy before becoming prime minister not his fault he inherited a lot of money although perhaps the apparent inheritance of power achieved through Eton etc could be discussed what should he do give it all to charity to convince us that he is fit to govern? If anything at least he certainly isn't in it for the money
And who wants a Prime Minister that looks like a Cabbage Patch Kid ..............he does tho dunt he ???...........he looks all jowlly looking.................
Remember........Winston Churchill has a poor record when it comes to the ordinary man in the street. .............he ordered the army in to solve problems with welsh miners............11 were shot He did great in the war..............but got booted out big style at the election straight after the war Churchill was not for the common man.................neither is Cameron
