A Motherwell to Leicester train ticket(on the day we play them) is £12.

But, for the following day a Leicester to Motherwell train ticket is £58!

Is it uphill all the way back upto Scotland so they charge extra for petrol or something? :D

RE: Can anyone explain why... (have you considered flying?)

it's cos they know they can charge what they want....there's no competition on the railways, it int like a competitor can build a network of tracks or plonk their trains on the existing track - it would probably work out quite well for you to fly

Flying has its advantages and disadvantages

I.e. having to be there hours in advance, and getting frisked by a strange man!

See what's the cheapest option come October anyway :)

I still reckon they should gimme it for £24 return to even it up.
