Not wanting to manage us. I know he says he doesnt want to tarnish his rep if he doesnt do well, but he is a good manager and a few ex players manage their old club and are still regarded as legends when things go wrong. Shearer and Keegan at Newcastle for example.
I'd say it's obvious. Why would you risk some of the people from your own town, supporters of a club you love vilifying you?
he knows barnsley folk too well then. even if he does well theyd blame him for not fixing the potholes in town. i see your point
He's not had a pot to piss in at Ipswich, their squad is absolute bobbins, yet they've finished mid table this season, never near relegation in previous seasons, and even got to the play offs one year. He's a good manager.
I am not sure that hard plastic stuff will burn very easily but may be wrong. By Christmas I may be testing the theory - I'll let you know.
It was unlikely if we'd stayed up but not a chance in League One, he'll have plenty of suitors in the Championship or maybe even abroad.
Don't understand why people are so keen on him anyway. He's decent and has got a few promotions but when was the last one? His footballs awful to watch and he tends to sign old players instead of the young talents we go for. Just doesn't fit.
Admittedly we don't have much of it these days but you know what I mean. We don't go out signing 35 years olds. Mick would probs be looking to bring Jay Tabb in.
