Every club in the Championship has been linked to him now. There's going to be a bidding war. We'll get £10 million for him.

Reds will be holding off until they know which Madrid team brings home the Champions League........this will be the deciding factor as to where COG's next destination lies.

Can we afford him Mario? I heard Northampton were interested and I don't think we can compete with the likes of them.

They don't have to make a statement about every little thing.

Imagine if they said COG is categorically not for sale, then a club come in with an offer of £1.5m. Can't turn that down can they?

It's best to do transfer business out of the public eye anyway.

They shouldn't have to comment on each individual.

Ha ha ha ha we've got a sponsor for open day and some made up loto jackpot stands at 7 million

But no one knows how many season tickets we've sold, who kit supplier is, when home shirts on sale, or if we're having books or swipe cards

You can tell. We're no longer on the Championship.

In all seriousness, I think Ben Mansford will get a better deal when selling our players than what we've managed in the past. Personally though, I hope we don't sell him. First proper centre forward we've had since Shipps and half our fans don't rate him. Bizarre. 15 league goals for us this season, most Shipperley ever got for us in a season was 14. It's the same number as Hendrie got in the promotion season. More than Paul Wilkinson, more than Trevor Aylott ever managed for us in a season or Ashley Ward, or Derrick Parker, or David Geddis, or David Hirst, or Andy Liddell.

Payton, Dyer and Redfearn only bettered 15 league goals once and they all had a number of seasons at Oakwell.

And a lot of folk aren't bothered if we get rid.

Agree with all this. I think it would be beneficial for both parties for him to stay as well. For us, it's self explanatory...his goals, his ability to hold the ball up, the fact that he's proven at that level and higher. For the player, I think he can only further enhance his reputation by staying and banging plenty of goals in next season. It's not like with Stones where he was destined to play at the top level. In my opinion, O'Grady is a decent Championship forward and if he can't help us back next season I'm sure there will still be takers the following season assuming he's scored some goals.

For me, priority number 1 next season it to make sure he's leading the line.
