I didn't think we played well but we were a lot better than last Saturday when we won. Funny old game football. Not seeing anything in Watkins & Winnall looks dreadful at the minute. Annoyed we wasted several good opportunities to get Nyatanga, Roberts & Mawson in the box & played short free kicks instead. Our only attacking threat at the minute is set pieces so every opportunity to get it in there should be taken. Crowley's a talented lad but he needs to have a crack at goal when he gets the chance & needs to release the ball a bit earlier at times. Wilkinson only had 15 mins work to do & still couldn't be arsed to challenge for headers. Poor effort. Midfield a lot better though and our centre backs look great. Mawson was man of the match for me but I can't moan at Roberts getting it as he pushed him close
should have put alfie up front in first half, he looked like a spare part. sat back, did nowt and nearly let them win. its not that the players wernt good enough, but the way we played. All down to LJ im afraid.
Can't understand why both Hourihane and Scown drop into the back 4 to pick the ball up. Then wonder why we have to move it across the back as we are outnumbered in midfield. Personally I like Pearson just in that holding role and not as advanced that 10 yard that he was today.
