one of my favourite CD's is scratched after all the use its had over the years, its now started jumping when i play it.. other than buying it again is there anything i can do?? thanks
You can actually polish out the scratches The data on a CD is not written on the clear plastic under side of the CD. That part works like a lens to focus the laser of the CD player onto the data written on the underside of the top surface. It doesn't always work, but if your CD is goosed anyway, try Brasso to polish out the scratches.
