Just bought a cd but I have found out the same album has been digitally remastered,do I take the cd back and buy the remastered one or just keep the original one?

    Depends what it is.

Remasters generally improve things, particularly if the original CD was a mid to late-80's job. Some horrible, muddy compression going on there. But there have been more than a few complete arse-up attempts at remastering down the years. Stuff so bright you'd need sunglasses to listen.

Keep the original, this digital remastering isn't always what its cracked up to be, some of the Beatle stuff they did was utter tosh

The '87 CD issues were, indeed, terrible. But the new sets are stunning. The birthday bunny has brought me the mono box set, I believe. :)
