Any one got any tips on how to actually build a winning team on Champ Manager (i'm using cm4). Always seem to have a team of muppets who don't get any better, find it nearly impossible! I cud just be ***** but tried everything. (england)
I'm playing CM4 Challenge for me (managing BFC) is stemming the heavy debt. You inherit a big squad who are highly paid and you can't get rid of them as they are on long term contracts. I am currently 18 months in (2nd season) and mid table. Finally got rid of Sheron after docking his wages for being a muppet but then the team turned on me, including Mogs. Solidarity and all that. Finally building my own team - send your scouts out and get some pacey wingers in who can cross a ball, play 4-4-2 attacking down wings. My right winger is Betsy, Dyer bags 20+ goals a season and never whinges and he hasn't gone off me for docking Shez's wages. Fallon has gone to Rangers (ffs) ....
RE: I'm playing CM4 found that Stedhart, hes at Gravesend. Airtyke, I'm having that prob at moment, managing tarn but can't flog the donkeys. So shall I drop their wages?
Top tip Offer them a new contract. E.g, Dyer on £6000 a week until 2005, with 2 years left on his contract I offered him a new contract and he wanted £2600 a week. Ppfffffft ....
