So if I get this right Pakistan assure the cricket community that the players and match officials are safe and their elite security forces will protect them 1. Fact - several Sri Lankan players were shot and injured and some of the police escort killed so the assurance was unfounded fact 2 Chris Broad states that his secutity force legged it why would he make that up - surely if they had done their job he would have been full of praise for them doing well to ensure his safety in such dangerous conditions. What possible agenda could he have for lying in these circumstances - I cant think of any. fact 3 Pakistan cricket board say that security was top notch - demonstrably untrue fact 4 they accuse Broad of fabrication - even though they admit that security is not up to them but the government and cant possibly know what happened to Broads escort - Their agenda is there isnt any real problem and teams can come back and play in Pakistan -The ICB should make it clear to the Pakistani Cricket board that they full support Broad, that the PCB failled abysmally in their duty to protect players and officials and that no future visits should take place until clear steps have been taken to minimise the chance of a repetition probably wont happen though
