That's naughty. The bible, unlike some other religious rule books, doesn't encourage rape. http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=20552
RE: That's naughty. Can you warn me next time you are posting a link to a far-right website.....I'll look at them at home but not at work. Oh and it said that the bible states that women are subservient.
Google "muslim rape wave" and take your pick. And I won't even address your ridiculous suggestion that the bible saying women should be subservient is incitement to rape.
at least we don't make them cover up their faces and have humpteen wiives and kill them for looking at another bloke for shaming their families... not defending it one bit he should have his nackers chopped off, but on the other side of the coin/faith (ie above) get ready for it.....
Well I don't really think he was saying that. I think the points ES was making were that 1. The bible, like a few other religious texts, states that women are subservient. Reflects the time in which these things were written. 2. The bible, like a few other religious texts, can 'inspire' bonkers people to do bonkers things.
RE: at least No... you will probably find that some of the extreme Christian groups and cults do exactly what you say... The Children of God caused a controvesy in the 70's when it was found out that it actively encouraged it members to have sex with children. What about the extreme morman groups in the states where thy actively encourage men to take many wives- and many of these women are forced into sexual relationships and marriage with elders of the church. Many churches encourage women to cover fully including their face and head. Such as the exclusive brethern. Finally I am sure that there was a young jeovahs witness murdered by her family in this country in this country a few years ago for leaving the faith. And don't forget the kkk, Jim Jones and David Koresh. As well as the church of the creator which is a pseudo christian cult which worships hitler.
Now we know.. Your arguments are completely discredit windy... if you have to trawl the fascist and far right website to prove your argument than you obviously show no discernment about where you gather your information. Clear the extreme right want to stir up a wave of islamaphobia and i'm afraid that falling into their paranoid trap and trying to further it by posting the filth on this site says one of two things... you are a twisted individual who paints broadly with his generalisations and picks dangerous sources to validate his ramblings or a tedious wind up merchant of the first order. What next after the muslims... perhaps we could portray the Jews as rats... because that is the way the argument heads like in Germany in the 30's... be very careful
RE: Now we know.. Yes they are allowed an opinion. However, that's not what he was saying - he was saying that it discredits your position if, in trying to back up your argument, you are just using "facts" from far right websites....in the same way that if I argued the other side and used a far left site or a Muslim site to back up my argument - it's not using a balanced source so you end up using propaganda or slewed statistics.
