Yes, Hassell, and yes, he's fit. And yes, RNL, the lad who was a key factor in us winning two away games by all accounts, playing up front, or at least, centrally. Your response to that is 'give me a break'. So you were happy with him going with Mellis, Dawson and Woods tonight? And the BBS don't speak for me, neither did I mention removing Danny. He'd be given a long term contract asap if I was Cryne. But he's not immune to criticism. Nobody is. It's football, it comes with the territory. But your defence of the indefensible, and your new found love for Lawrence is commendable.
Hunt at right back, Liverpool Mac on the right wing, Tom Pole behind O'Grady, leave Mellis out, Frimpong in for Woods, simples.
four home games no shots on goals. will never score with that team and one front. will never score in broth
Same old problem. O'Grady trying to hold a ball up with no support. It's crying out for pace alongside him, he's the sort of striker that needs someone running off him. Tonight we had Mellis playing off him, we've seen time & time again that this doesn't work for us, he then replaced Mellis in the hole with the only player in the squad with less running in him than Mellis in McCourt. If you're gonna bring McCourt on at least play him wide where he might impact the game. Both are about as stationary as Dickie Bird's statue. You'll never get a run from either of them beyond O'Grady. Sorry to sound like a broken record but it's bloody obvious. Reuben came on away at Reading & Yeovil & played the role & we scored goals for fun so what does Wilson do? Dumped him in the reserves on Saturday & then when he did bring him on tonight he played him on the wing! Barmy decisions.
Yet McCourt did run beyond O`Grady from a flick on, there was just too much on it for him to get to it.
