    "Barnsley manager Simon Davey has agreed to step down from his post. He is in negoiations with owner Patrick Cryne regarding his compensation package. With the Tykes not having a game this weekend and a terrible run of results which has seen them heading towards the Championship drop zone, it was felt the time was right to act.

    Set to replace him until the end of the season is Red's legend Neil Redfearn, who will leave his Post with the Leeds academy tomorrow (Thursday). Darren Moore will take up a post of Player/Assistant Manager as part of the new setup.

    This will all be announced at a press conference planned for 2pm on Friday"
