    He got less than 45 minutes and yes we won but has it convinced me that Collins style suits Phillips? No.

    Certainly not worth a place at the moment. Whether it’s down to the way Collins sets up I’m really not sure. To be fair, he seemed to put a bit more effort in.

    As others have said, its a thanks Conor, but no thanks.
    Not just because of the never go back thing, I just think now at his age, he couldn't do the same job for us.
    Things have moved on since then.

    Problem is we’ve got hundreds of centre mids… but I’d love to see him back regardless!

    Im sure we have all said that we have the strongest midfield in the league and when Connell comes back then its even stronger.

    Kane may leave in January as will Cole as their contracts are up at the end of the season and no doubt Styles will be pushing to leave again.

    If that happens it would be good to see a midfield with Russell Connell and Hourihane with Phillips and Benson on the bench when he starts to tire.
