Call me cynical but would there really have been a clause in Macindoe's contract allowing him to go out on loan to another championship club?

I can accept there was a clause allowing him to leave in a transfer but on loan???

If that is correct we would have been better with him for the next 6 weeks to help us out of the current position we are in and and then sell him in January when a few other clubs may also have been interested? (e.g. premier clubs allowed to buy!!!!!)

Either way we couldn't lose and the expectation of the crowd tomorrow from the new signings wouldn't have been tainted with the selling of one of our best assets?

Final word .... Gorgon ....PLEASE, PLEASE TELL ME THAT THIS SALE HAS A CLAUSE SO HE CANNOT PLAY AGAINST US ON JANUARY 1ST!!!!!!!!!!!

PS. If the clause in his contract did allow him to go out on loan I sincerely apolgise for doubting the club .....If it didn't please don't hesitate to contact me in the future for any contractual or business advice. :pff

PPS. Always free advice of course for the Super Reds!

Whats the point keeping a player who doesn't want to be here.

Just accept that the money grabbing Barstewards gone.

Gordon Shepherd has shown himself to be exceptionally poor at using the media

...and the way he has put himself across in recent weeks has certainly tarnished his image (at least in the eyes of some fans). I can accept that McIndoe had a clause in his contract stating that he could leave us for another club - and that there is no point in keeping McIndoe until January if he wants away now. I hope the money is good (I don't think it will be that good, but still). The club must learn to be up front about these matters if they want the cynics to believe what is coming out. The news about McIndoe must have been known earlier than Shepherd wants us to believe - the signing of an alternative player suggests as much. It has been exceptionally mishandled. As was the prolonged Andy Ritchie embarressment.

That being said - the ineptitude of the club in utilising the media or communicating with the fans directly should be put to one side now. There is a new guy in charge, with a new assistant, and some new faces in the squad. Efforts have been made to reinvigorate our survival bid. We all need to get behind the whole team and focus on the season ahead. Hopefully in January when the transfer window opens we should have a reasonable stash of money to strengthen again.

    COME ON YOU REDS!

Which ever way you look at the McIndoe sale.......it looks bad

If he had a clause (and we have to accept he had) then wasen't it a great contract he had

A sort of - come and play for us kid but if anybody comes in for you yer can go for nowt.

    Be fair though

It's better that we had him for the last three months than not at all. Don't start propagating this 'sold for nowt' rubbish either - we'll get paid. Let's be practical about this and not make a bad situation worse than it is. You winding people up with 'he went for nothing' is just unnecessary and irresponsible.
