I've had it a few times, it's ridiculous! I bet there are loads of people that isolate on that alone.
And todays alert “The risk level in your area has changed.” Tap here for details Slight surprise as I wasnt expecting any changes in my area as Covid is relatively low and we have a prominent Tory as our MP tapped on it to find that the risk level in my area is Medium - same as it was yesterday
And the reason is ... everyone who stayed on Level 1 with the latest version of the app got one. Its beyond incompetent - its almost as if they want people to have no confidence in the app and turn it off https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/nhs-covid-19-app-notifications_uk_5f86ff1cc5b6c5eccffc6b3c
My wife's friend today got a message to self iso for 9 days. She visited a Starbucks drive through, turns out anyone with the app who visited the place within a 12 hour window got the same message. Was it the staff member serving or just someone picking up a latte and muffin who tested positive? Dame Dildo take a bow and a down payment on a new mansion on Barbados!
Not sure didn't think of the number of days, so many other things I was thinking was wrong with it lol! I think there's been a delay in contact and the actual day the positive person got a result was 5 days ago, taking it up to 14 days. God knows lol!
I've not read all the replies yet so apologies if I'm repeating something already said, or asking a question that's been answer. However, I was going to start a similar thread. I've had a couple of alerts, both disappeared and I couldn't get them back to get more details. Once I was on public transport. Had someone on the same tram got symptoms I wondered. Then last night, I got an alert. I was in on my own, and had a bit of a log. At 22:37 with nobody around I got warnings. I hadn't been out for a few hours, and I wasn't sure the app was live or collated data for the day. Or was it detecting my next door neighbour who may have been sat 2 foot away from me (in their house at the other side of a wall). I just don't know.
It comes after you when you're on your own.......just be careful what you're looking at whilst you're on your own. Could easily kill the mood being told you've potentially got covid.
