I've been amongst the criticising majority of the club and it's policy. I have never been as negative as some, but still, I was a little disillusioned. This summer, though, we seem to be linked with higher quality players - and are actually signing them too. All at the club need applauding. I for one am excited about our prospects, realistic too but the certain relegation that seemed ominously definite now looks more of an unlikely possibility. You reds! I believe in fairies, the Easter bunny, and Keith Hill.
I said a few months ago i think Benny Hill thinks hes safe and saving the money for the summer instead of wasting it on players just to stay up when we had already done it and thankfully it looks like i was right
Thses signings all seem to have come with some baggage, but hey - they look a whole lot more ambitious than last summer's. It looks as though the austerity policy has quietly been watered down. We still can't afford to go gung-ho, but at least we're taking a bit more of a chance. I'm thinking carefully about next season. I still can't justify laying out £28 a game, so it's back to a ST or nowt. But the fixture list looks attractive next year, with the big Lancs clubs plus Wendies and t'Terriers. Much may depend on the last two days of Royal Ascot!
