When I see the blood, sweat and tears shed by our Olympic lads and lasses and then watch the over-priced, over-rated, talentless, celebrity English football team I have to wonder - Just what the f**k is going on?

WHY these useless pricks on such a wage is beyond me, it's nothing short of theft. Worse than the Exchequer.

What did the "England manager" say? We'll definately qualify for the World Cup?

    Go get f**ked.

I hear what you're saying and I'm not defending them, but the Czechies aren't a bad side. We don't have a divine right to turn up and roll sides over.

Must be all that extra weight they're carrying round

I mean come on £140,000 per week must be pretty heavy! They amount they earn is obscene - the GB Olympic team has shown the footballers the effort and the passion they need to put into their sports!

I don't think I implied that they should roll them over. But I expect a bit, no a f**king sight load more bottle and application than this.

    Agree in principle, but...

what the hell has Fabio been watching last weekend?

Gabby Agbonlahor, Ashley Young and Joe Cole were from what i saw by far the best performing English players on the opening day. Defoe played in a team that got spanked and never got a sniff.

When are the FA gonna pick a manager who will select a side on merit, not past glories.

RE: Must be all that extra weight they're carrying round

Capello has as much chance of getting this lot to the World Cup as he has of shagging the Queen.

    Yes they are similar.

    They're both on £5M a year.

    Perspective

Friendlies are played for a purpose, I will judge them on matches that matter, but they are overpaid for sure, don't think anyone can defend these wages.

    It's all our own fault.....

And by that I mean the football supporting public who pander to the Premier League 'giants'

Footballers (in the Premier League) are overpaid because people are happy to pay £60 a match to watch Chelsea, Arsenal, Manure etc, (QPR!) whilst the rest of us clamour to pay our monthly contributions to Sky TV for the 'previlige' of watching these t*ssers.

    Unfortunately...

...I'm still emotionally attached to my national team. Agree with the sentiment mind.
